Putting Culture to Work for You

"I recommend her services to other managers wishing to draw upon
more fully the potential energy and creativity of their employees in
order to improve productivity and adapt to change.”

What is a Culture Coach?
A culture coach helps you to harness the benefits of a growing and diverse workforce, thereby enhancing your organization's productivity. After understanding the impact that culture has on your business, you can then leverage this knowledge to improve your bottom line.

How Does a Culture Coach Work?
A culture coach will help you to assess your current circumstances, develop a strategic plan, and help you to implement the plan.

Assessment
Organizations face cultural challenges every day. Before you can develop a strategy to move forward, you will need to assess where you are. Part of this is recognizing that cultural moments can happen anywhere. This is especially true when we broaden the definition of culture beyond "national" borders. A person from the South can have a cultural moment with someone raised in New England just as easily as with someone born in Bosnia.

An assessment will help you to figure out what kind of impact culture has on your business, including any initiatives you may have already undertaken.

Developing a Strategy
With a clear road map, a strategy is developed that combines the strengths of your organization with the ideas, skills, and knowledge brought by the Culture Coach.

Implementation
The final step is implementing a strategy with practical ideas developed with your organization in mind. These ideas focus on how the insights gained can result in changes so that problems are reduced and the bottom line is improved.

A Culture Coach can reduce your problems while increasing your profits by:

• Improving cross cultural awareness and understanding
• Teaching people to understand the cultural contexts that impact communication
• Fostering an understanding of the changes in today's demographics and their impact upon your bottom line both now and in the future
• Illustrating hidden talents located in the diverse workforce of today that can provide a competitive advantage
